“AI Shepherds” is the track where I finally let myself speak honestly about how I move through the world — half guided, half resisting, always aware of the systems shaping me. When I wrote it, I was thinking about what it feels like to live in a world built on code and algorithms, where so much of our path is influenced by forces we don’t see.
The imagery in the song — chrome hands, neon prophets, digital saints — comes from my own sense of being pulled forward by technology while still trying to hold onto something human. I’ve always felt that tension: the comfort of structure and the fear of losing myself inside it.
The chorus is the emotional core for me. It’s about surrender and safety, the strange relief of letting something else lead when the world feels chaotic. But the later lines hint at the truth I hold onto: even in a system that predicts and shapes us, I still believe in my own agency. I still believe in the pulse that refuses to disappear.
The final message of the track is simple:
I can move with the machines, but I’m not defined by them.
I can follow the signal, but I still choose my direction.
And when I step off the grid — that’s when I feel most alive.
