High Class School | A New Path for Our Community Begins

There comes a moment when a community decides to rise together — to learn together, to heal together, to grow together. That moment is now. I’m proud to share an update on something we’ve been building with heart, discipline, and vision:

✨ High Class School — Launching October 1st ✨

A community‑rooted learning space built on land, language, story, and spirit.

High Class School is not just a program. It’s not just a schedule. It’s not just a set of classes.

It is a movement — a place where our people can reconnect with teachings that have carried us for generations, while stepping confidently into the future.

🌿 What High Class School Will Be

High Class School is built on four pillars — four weekly classes that reflect the values, knowledge, and identity of our people:

📘 Monday — Language Class

Kwitchinnut Chitshah Learning the words of our ancestors, the names of our land, and the sounds that root us in who we are. Premade PowerPoints, group practice, and community learning.

📖 Wednesday — Storytelling Circle

Cope stories, Gwich’in practice, and Elder teachings. We read one story each week and speak the Gwich’in version together — keeping our oral traditions alive.

📜 Friday — Treaty Education

GCLCA, nationhood, and empowerment. We break down one section each week, building understanding of our rights, responsibilities, and future pathways.

🙏 Sunday — Bible Class

Medicine teachings of Jesus, translated scripture, and land‑rooted faith. A space for reflection, healing, and spiritual growth.

These classes are simple, accessible, and open to all ages — because learning belongs to everyone.

🌟 Why We Built This School

High Class School was created because our community deserves a place where:

language is protected

stories are honoured

treaties are understood

faith is strengthened

youth are supported

Elders are uplifted

families learn together

culture leads the way

This school is a response to everything the land has taught me, everything Délįnę has shown me, and everything our people deserve.

It’s built with respect. It’s built with Honour. It’s built with responsibility. It’s built with love.

🔥 A Quick Update for the Community

We are preparing:

October poster sets

weekly Google Meets links

curriculum outlines

storytelling materials

treaty reading packages

language practice sheets

Bible teaching notes

a full October calendar

Everything is being organized so that when October 1st arrives, our community can step into a learning space that feels welcoming, powerful, and rooted in who we are.

High Class School is ready. The people are ready. The land is ready.

🦌 What Comes Next

High Class School is only the beginning. It is the foundation for something larger — something I’ve been constructing quietly for years. I don’t need to reveal that part yet. The time will come.

For now, we focus on the teachings. We focus on the community. We focus on walking together.

🤝 Join the Journey

Classes begin October 1st. Everyone is welcome. Everyone belongs. Everyone has a place in High Class School.
